Humza Jafri fully repaired and restored this Sarouk. The Sarouk's history is antique and was an heirloom rug from 1925. Jafri Rug's cleaned the rug first and then added new binding and fringe to the rug. As this was a threadbare rug it required a delicate treatment and immediate attention so that the binding would not unravel into the field of the knotting.

Jafri was tasked with finding two rugs that not only had presence but would also merge both classic with modern styles. The 8'x10' rug was to be a statement rug that would go in the study and the other 10'x14' rug would go in the bedroom and was to look like a rug from a French chateau.
